They still must be honest and follow the BCFSA Code of Conduct — but they're working in their client's interest, not yours. Anything you tell them can be shared with their client. If you want representation, ask for an agent of your own.

When does this matter most? The very first time you meet a realtor in person — for a viewing, an open house, or a sit-down. At that meeting, the realtor will walk you through the DORT (Disclosure of Representation in Trading Services) and PNC (Privacy Notice & Consent) in detail.
